This test measures levels of the steroid Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in the blood. Dehydroepiandrosterone is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands. DHEA tests are used to evaluate overall adrenal health and is considered an "anti-aging" hormone. In men, DHEA is also secreted by the testes.
